Muti Function Foot Control:

The HZL-DX5 super quilter comes with a multi-function foot control a feature not found on most non Juki brand machines under three thousand dollars. Press down with your heel to engage the programable heel switch, you can customize the heel switch to perform one of the following functions: raise the presser foot great when working on quilts, trim threads, reverse stitch to lock in a stich, or single stitch for total control.

Easy Straight Stitch Plate Conversion:

A straight stitch needle plate proves to be quite beneficial with quilting sewing machines or when stitching light and delicate fabrics. It aids in preventing the material from jamming beneath the needle plate during the sewing process.

Some high-end sewing machines require you to replace the standard plate with a straight stitch plate. However, Juki’s HZL-DX5 has a built-in slide plate specifically for straight stitching. To sew lightweight fabrics or do free motion quilting, you just need to slide the straight stitch plate forward.

Quick Access Keys:

For your convenience, the most commonly used stitches are easily accessible on the backlit keypad. You can access other stitches using the onboard stitch reference chart.

Start/Stop Button:

This button controls the sewing machine without using your foot. It can be used for regular sewing and sewing buttonholes.

When you press the button, the machine will start sewing slowly and then increase to the speed you choose. The speed control slider has three speeds: low, medium, and high. At the highest speed, the machine can sew 1,050 stitches in one minute using a straight stitch.

Thread Trimmer Button:

Sewing machines have a small blade or notch near the needle area to cut the thread. Some advanced machines have a button that automatically trims both the bobbin thread and the needle thread. This automatic thread cutter does away with manually cutting the threads.
